I am getting closer and closer to my departure date. I can't lie, I'm definately nervous! I have, only once, gone a long distance from the U.S. for a long period of time, and that time I was traveling with a group of people. I felt more secure in that. I'm just really nervous that I'll forget something.

Because I have traveled to Africa once before I didn't have to get any new shots. My malaria medication is on it's way and I've decided to go with Doxycycline. I will have to remember to take a pill each day, which will become an annoyance, but I suppose a small annoyance is better than getting Malaria.

I sent off for my IDL (International Driver's License) today and I should be receiving that back next week. One step closer to being there.

If anyone is actually reading this and has any comments that they want to make about things I should make sure to remember regarding international travel, let me know.

There are now only one 27 days until I depart for Nairobi.

I'm flying out of Denver on the evening of Jan. 9th, connecting at Frankfurt, and laying over at London for 20 hours. In London I will be meeting my classmate Michael Shepherd and we'll hopefully spend some time in the city. Mike and I will then be traveling to Nairobi together.

Because airports occasionally lose luggage, I ask that you would pray that we don't run into any complications while making two connections.
